Motorcyclist rushed to hospital following serious crash on Scots road

A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital after being involved in a serious crash on a Scots road.

Emergency services raced to the scene on the B997 between Parkhill and Bridge of Don in Aberdeen.

A motorbike and a car were involved in a crash at about 3.50pm, with the road being locked down as the incident was dealt with.

The male driver of the motorcycle was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

His condition is not known at this time.

Police confirmed that they had attended the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.50pm on Friday, 27 August, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving a car and a motorbike on the B997.

"Police and Ambulance attended and the motorcyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
