Motorcyclist raced to hospital after crash with van in southside

A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital after being injured in a crash in the southside.

Police and paramedics are still at the scene on Kings Park Avenue after the collision between the motorbike and a van at around 10:55am this morning.

The extent of the motorcyclist injuries is not yet known. The street is currently shut off to traffic.

Inspector Kevin Dougall, from Greater Glasgow Police Division, said: "Police were called to the Kings Park Avenue area of Glasgow following a crash between a van and a motorcycle, which occurred around 10.55am today (Monday 20 April).

"The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital by ambulance and the road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours."
