Motorcyclist missing in Spain is found safe and well

A motorcyclist who had been missing in Spain for more than four days has been found safe and well. On Friday, police in Wales asked for help in locating the Cardiff pensioner who had gone missing while on holiday in Spain.

Roy Davies Clarke was travelling in a northern part of the country but the alarm was raised when he failed to turn up at his hotel on Monday (May 30) Police had issued a description of him and said he had been riding a grey Yamaha XJ 6F Diversion.

On Saturday morning, the good news was confirmed that the 78-year-old, who is from Heath, who had been travelling with a friend when he became separated, had been found safe and well.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We can confirm that Roy Davies Clarke, who went missing while on holiday in northern Spain, has been located safe and well." A statement added: "Thank you for your support."
