Motorcyclist miraculously escapes with minor injuries after falling off the back of bike on the M60

A motorcyclist has escaped serious injury after falling off the back of their bike in a 'multi-vehicle collision' on the M60 during rush-hour.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the motorway near to junction 24 for Denton at around 4.15pm on Monday (October 28).

Highways England confirmed that a motorcyclist was involved.

But miraculously, they only sustained minor injuries after falling off their bike.

A spokesperson from Highways England said: "We were called to the incident at 4.25pm at M60 junction 24.

"A passenger fell off the back of a motorcycle in lane two and obtained a minor injury.

"Two lanes were closed and delays peaked at 25 minutes.

"Police and ambulance attended alongside traffic officers and it was all cleared by 5.35pm."

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said there looked to be a 'number of vehicles' involved.

Two lanes were closed at the scene of the accident.

There were long tailbacks on the clockwise carriageway up to junction 22 for Chadderton.

Traffic alerts also reported queuing traffic on the anticlockwise traffic as cars slowed down to look at the accident.
