Motorcyclist knocked off her bike in alleged 'hit and run'

Police investigating an alleged hit and run in which a motorcyclist was knocked off her bike have released a CCTV image.

Nottinghamshire police said it is investigating the incident which took place opposite Lloyds Bank in Broxtowe Lane, Aspley, at around 11.45am on Saturday 2 January.

A police spokesman said officers were called after the woman was in collision with a grey Vauxhall van, which was then driven away from the scene at speed onto Aspley Lane.

The van is described as light grey in colour with black writing on the side and three ladders on the outside.

PC James Boden, investigating, said: “Fortunately the victim in this case did not suffer any serious injuries, but she was understandably very shaken by what happened. We believe the man pictured in these images may be able to help us with our enquiries.”

If you recognise him or the van in question, please contact police on 101 quoting incident number 179 of January 2.
