Motorcyclist killed in horror crash named as Glasgow man Iain Chisholm

A motorcyclist who died in a fatal crash last week has been named as Glasgow man Iain Chisholm.

The 58 year old, of Dumbarton Road, died in the collision on the A85 about half a mile south of Crianlarich on Friday, September 20.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm when the Black Triumph motorcycle collided with a blue BMW 320 around half a mile south of Crianlarich on the A85.

Mr Chisolm was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have released a statement through Police Scotland , which reads: "Mr Iain Gibson Chisholm, beloved lifelong partner of Jacqueline Dickson and adored father of Calum and Lucy."

The occupants of the BMW, a man and woman, were uninjured.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

Inspector Andrew Thomson, of the Road Policing Unit, said: "We are providing support the family of Mr Chisholm who are very much in our thoughts as we continue to investigate the collision.

"If you were in the area around the time of the incident and have any information, including dashcam footage, which could assist in our inquiry please get in touch by contacting Police Scotland via 101 and quoting incident 2835 of 20 September 2019."
