Motorcyclist killed in crash with car in the Brecon Beacons

A man has died following a crash between a motorbike and a car in the Brecon Beacons.

The collision happened on the A4215 between the villages of Libanus and Defynnog in Powys at around 3.15pm on Sunday.

The rider of the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s next of kin have been made aware. He has not been named, but it is understood that he was in his 50s.

The driver and passenger in the car involved in the collision were not injured.

Police are now investigating the crash, which led to the closure of the A4215 for several hours.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the A4215 between Libanus and Defynnog on Sunday afternoon."

“Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the Brecon Roads Policing Unit by calling 101.”
