Motorcyclist killed in crash with car died of multiple injuries, inquest told

A devoted boyfriend and father-of-one who was killed in a motorbike crash on Bank Holiday Monday sustained "multiple injuries", an inquest has heard.

Scott Adam Edwards, 30, died after his motorbike and a VW Golf were involved in a crash on the A494 in Gwynedd on May 31.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident near Rhydymaen but the young dad was pronounced dead by paramedics. A passenger in the Golf was flown to hospital with serious injuries.

An inquest into his death was formally opened in Caernarfon on Wednesday, NorthWalesLive reported.

The hearing was told how Mr Edwards, a telecoms engineer from Wrexham, was riding between Bala and Dolgellau when the crash happened.

Acting senior coroner for north west Wales Katie Sutherland said: "A post-mortem was carried out and a provisional cause of death was given as multiple injuries due to a road traffic collision.

"The investigation into his death is ongoing at this time and therefore I will adjourn the inquest pending the completion of those investigations."

Following his tragic death Mr Edwards' partner Faye Avis paid an emotional tribute to the man she described as "amazing".

She said: "He has shown me what true love feels like and for that I will always thank him. There will never be a second, a minute, an hour that will go by where someone won’t be thinking of him.

"He will truly be missed by so many people. There’s a massive hole gone in people’s hearts.

“An amazing man who treated me like his world and my two girls like his own.

“Scott has left me with the warmest of memories and loved me in every way a woman can and should be loved.”
