A motorcycle rider has died in a crash on a remote trail in a Hunter forest.
Emergency services were called to a fire trail in the Putty State Forest in the Hunter Valley about 1pm on Thursday, July 23.
They had been alerted to reports a motorcyclist had crashed on the track.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was deployed to the crash site but found on arrival that the rider, a 67-year-old man, had sadly died at the scene.
Hunter Valley Police District officers established a crime scene in the Putty State Forest and launched an investigation into how the crash occurred.
Police said a report has been prepared for the information of the coroner.
