A motorcyclist in his 40s has died following a crash involving a car in Cork this evening.
The incident occurred on the Killumney-Crossbarry road. The road remains closed as a result.
Emergency services responded to the collision this evening with Gardai and ambulance services present, Cork Beo reports.
AA Roadwatch report that the road remains closed while Gardai deal with the collision. Diversions are in place.
It is the second fatal accident to happen in Cork today, after a man in his 70s died this morning on a farm in West Cork.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was reported that the accident seems to be of an industrial nature.
