
A man in his 20s is in a stable condition at John Hunter Hospital following a motor vehicle incident at West Wallsend on Saturday afternoon.
About 1.15pm, Ambulance NSW responded to reports of an incident involving a car and a motorcycle on Fairley Road.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene and able to land in a nearby property.
Due to the nature of the terrain, the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team was transported to the patient in the bushland.
Ambulance NSW paramedics and the helicopter medical team stabilised the patient with possible head, leg and chest injuries.
He was transported to John Hunter Hospital by road in a stable condition for further treatment.
A NSW Police spokesperson said the cause of the incident was undetermined at this stage and that a crash investigations unit had commenced an investigation.
