Motorcyclist in serious condition following crash in Royal Oak

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following a crash in Royal Oak, Auckland.

A Police spokesperson said the crash took place about 6pm, between a car and a motorbike, opposite the KFC on Manukau Rd.

Diversions were in place for some time.

A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances were sent to the incident and the patient had been transported to Auckland Hospital in a serious condition.
