Motorcyclist in hospital with serious injuries after crash

A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries following a nasty crash on a busy road.

The 56-year-old was riding a Honda motorcycle along the A4241 Harbour Way in Port Talbot on Sunday, September 19 when his bike collided with a kerb and slid along the central crash barrier.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may be able to help them with their investigations.

A statement from South Wales Police read: "We are appealing following a serious road traffic collision which occurred in Port Talbot yesterday (September 19) at around 6.57pm.

"The collision involved a Honda motorcycle which was being driven along the A4241 Harbour Way when it collided with a kerb and slid along the central crash barrier.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a 56-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries."
