Two pensioners riding motorcycles collided with each other on a busy Welsh road, leaving one with life-threatening injuries. The crash happened at 3.30pm on Wednesday, July 27, and saw emergency services including the police and ambulance service attend the scene in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
It took place between the A473 Talbot Green roundabout and B4264 Mwyndy and resulted in the police closing the A4119 in both directions as they dealt with the incident. A 67-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, whilst a second man, a 70-year-old, was also hospitalised but with minor injuries.

A police statement read: "South Wales Police was called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A4119 southbound directly outside the Texaco garage, at 3.30pm yesterday (Wednesday July 27). The collision involved two motorcycles.
"One of the drivers, a 67-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other driver, a 70 year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
