Motorcyclist in hospital with 'life-changing injuries' after crash with another rider in Swansea

A motorcyclist is in hospital with 'life-changing injuries' after a crash with another rider in Swansea.

The collision happened at around 1.38pm on Sunday, December 5, opposite Landore Social Club in Morfa Road.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the crash, to come forward and help the police with their enquires. You can read more stories about Swansea here.

Two motorbikes were involved in the collision, a green Triumph Street Scrambler and a Kawasaki.

South Wales Police closed the road from the True Student accommodation up to Boss Brewery and advised motorists to use alternative routes. Pictures from the scene showed police tape and sealing off the road and officers advised that the road would be shut for "some time". The road was re-opened after several hours.

South Wales Police have now issued an appeal on social media.

The post reads: "Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred at around 1.38pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021, on the B4603, Morfa Road, Landore, Swansea, opposite Landore Social Club.

"The collision involved two motorcycles, a green Triumph Street Scrambler and a Kawasaki. One rider was taken to hospital, where he remains and is being treated for life-changing injuries.

"The road was closed for a number of hours whilst investigations continued, and we thank anyone affected during this time for their patience. We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage, anyone who stopped to provide assistance, or anyone who saw the motorcycles prior to the collision.
