Motorcyclist fighting for life after horror crash on Scots road

A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after a horror crash on a Scots road yesterday.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the 37-year-old's red BWM motorbike appeared to lose control and crashed on the A93 at around 7.50pm on Thursday, May 27.

The driver was thrown from the bike and sustained serious injuries following the smash, which happened southbound on the Braemar to Glenshee road.

Ambulance crews attended and the man was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as critical.

The road was closed for several hours as collision investigators conducted enquiries through the night.

Police are appealing for information and they're asking anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.

Sergeant Peter Henderson said: "I am appealing to anyone who was on the road around the time of the crash to contact us as there may be information which could help us establish the exact circumstances of what has happened.

"In particular, if any motorists have dash cams, please check your footage as it may assist in our investigation."

Anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101, quoting incident number 3481 of May 27.
