CHAIYAPHUM: A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday evening in Nong Bua Rawe district, and police found drugs in his pocket.

The motorcycle collided with a trailer truck on the Chaiyaphum-Nakhon Sawan road during heavy rain, police said.

The body of Sirawut Khampha, a resident of Muang district, was found wedged under the truck. As police searched the victim's body for identity documents they found 10 speed pills and an amount of crystal methamphetamine in his pockets.

Suthathip Phasomchan, who identified herself as the victim's girlfriend, told police he was supposed to meet her for a barbecue dinner.

Somdet Thongpoon, 64, the truck driver, told police the motorcycle was travelling at high speed, drifted outside the lane and hit his truck. He was detained for questioning and tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
