A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a crash involving a lorry on a country road in South Lanarkshire.
Police said the collision between the motorcycle and the HGV happened on the A70 near Glespin at around 2.20pm on Thursday.
Police said the 37-year-old man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the HGV was not injured.
Officers are appealing for information about the crash, which involved a black Suzuki GSXR 600 K7 motorcycle and a red Volvo HGV.
Sergeant Elaine Scott said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.
“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time to check if they have dashcam footage that can help with our investigation.”
