Motorcyclist dies after wiping out in Garfield Ridge: police

A motorcyclist died after wiping out early Monday in Garfield Ridge on the Southwest Side, police said.

The man, about 44 years old, crashed about 3:50 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Harlem Avenue, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.

He was later pronounced dead, police said. The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about his death.
