A motorcyclist died Thursday when he t-boned a minivan in Portage Park on the Northwest Side.

Felix Ocasio, 47, was riding a motorcycle southbound in the 3800 block of North Cicero Avenue when a minivan attempted to cross westbound from Bernice Avenue through stopped traffic, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Ocasio collided with the side of the minivan about 9:14 a.m. and fell into the street, authorities said. He was wearing a helmet.

Paramedics took Ocasio to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about two hours later, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy released Friday found he died of multiple injuries from a motorcycle crash, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled accidental.

The driver of the minivan, a 68-year-old female, and a 3-year-old in the backseat were uninjured, police said. The driver was issued a ticket for failing to keep in the lane.
