Motorcyclist dies after crash which closed road for several hours

A motorcyclist has died after a crash which closed the road for several hours.

The collision took place at 8.10pm on Sunday, July 18 in Draycott Road, Breaston, near Long Eaton.

Police say a man in his 30s died at the scene of the serious crash near the junction of Marlborough Road.

Draycott Road was closed for some time while emergency services attended the scene - it has since reopened.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: "Sadly, a man aged in his 30s died at the scene and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage which could help with their inquiries."
