Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after crash with tractor on Scots road

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a crash with a tractor on a Scots road.

The incident occurred at around 1.30pm on Sunday 27 June on Pluscarden Road, near Elgin.

Emergency services attended the scene and the male motorcyclist was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The incident resulted in the man suffering seriously injuries.

The tractor driver remained uninjured following the collision while the road has been closed closed with diversions put in place.

Specialist investigators are currently conducting enquiries in order to establish the nature of the crash.

Police Scotland said: "Pluscarden Road, near Elgin, remains closed following a road crash involving a motorbike and a tractor.

"Road collision investigators are conducting enquiries to establish what has happened.

"The male motorcyclist has been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the driver of the tractor is uninjured. Diversions remain in place."

The force previously said that they received a report of a road crash involving two cars but have since provided updated details regarding the types of vehicles involved.
