Motorcyclist, 70, dies and another man airlifted to Queen's Medical Centre after three-vehicle crash on B1176

A man has died and another man has been airlifted to Queen's Medical Centre after a three-vehicle crash.

The crash took place on the B1176 at Bitchfield near Grantham at around 5.30pm yesterday.

A green Kawasaki and red Ducati were involved in the crash with a Land Rover Discovery, reports LincolnshireLive.

A 64-year old man, who was riding one of the motorcycles, was airlifted to QMC with serious injuries.

A 70-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed until 11pm while investigation work was carried out at the scene.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "Anyone who was in the area and either saw the collision itself or saw any of the vehicles before the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact us on 101 and quote incident 358 of August 22."
