Motorcyclist, 56, dies after crash on Nottinghamshire road

A 56-year-old man has died following a crash on a Nottinghamshire road on Monday (August 26).

Nottinghamshire Police were called to the A57 near Ragnall yesterday at around 4pm.

They were responding to a report of a serious single vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist.

Police have now confirmed the motorcyclist died at the scene a short while later.

The A57 was closed in both directions between Dunham Bridge and Markham Moor, along with with Laneham Road and Main Street in Ragnall. All roads have now reopened.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are making enquiries and are offering their support to the man’s family following the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or believes they may have daschcam footage of the incident is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 595 of 26 August 2019.
