Motorcycle rider dies in Central Coast crash

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on the Central Coast on Thursday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Yarramalong Road and Chandlers Lane at Wyong Creek, about 11am after reports a motorcycle travelling east and a Jeep Grand Cherokee travelling west collided.

The male rider, who was ejected from the bike, died at the scene and was yet to be formally identified at the time of publication.

The female driver of the Jeep was uninjured and taken to Wyong Hospital for mandatory testing.

Yarramalong Road remained closed in both directions between Campbells Point Road and Wyong Creek Public School as of 4pm on Thursday.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash have commenced, anyone with dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
