Nextcar Limited has recalled a range of motorcycles today due to a safety issue identified by the manufacturer.
The recall affects certain Triumph Trident models that were manufactured between 1.2.2021 to 31.5.2021.
The defect involves the stand on these models, which may bend under a certain weight - causing the motorbike to fall and be damaged, or cause injury to the rider.
A statement released this evening read: “A safety issue has been identified with the affected products, where the side stand of the affected Trident models may bend under the weight of the motorcycle.
“There is a risk that the motorcycle could become unstable and may fall if it is parked on the side stand, increasing the risk of injury.”
According to Nextcar Limited, there are approximately 12 affected products in the Republic of Ireland and so those who are affected will be contacted.
“Nextcar Limited will directly contact all affected customers advising them to make an appointment with their local Authorised Repairer where any necessary repairs/replacements of parts will be carried out,” the statement says.
However, if you believe that your vehicle may be impacted by this recall, then you can contact Nextcar Limited on (01) 464 2211.
