Motorbike stunt rider Steve Colley wows the crowds at Kirkcudbright Country Fair

Motorbike stunt rider Steve Colley was the star attraction at Kirkcudbright Country Fair over the weekend.

The Manxman wowed the crowds in the show ring at The Carse — and is set to return to the town next year.

Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities chairman, John Blaikie, said: “We have already booked him for the 2020 tattoo. He is desperate to come back.

“He has already had a look at the street and was getting quite excited. It will be right in front of the castle and it’ll be quite something to see.”

Other features at the two-day spectacular held on the outskirts of Kirkcudbright included a sheep show, steam traction engines, food and craft tents and a dog agility display team.

John added: “It was very good. We had good crowds on both days.

"The weather on Saturday was perfect and on Sunday the rain didn’t come until just before 3pm. So we did well.”
