A motorbike rider has been taken to hospital after a serious crash on the Mersey Gateway bridge.
The bike rider was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus on the bridge - which runs between Runcorn and Widnes - at around 2pm today.
Emergency services were called to the scene.
There was a temporary road block in place which has now been removed and the bridge remains open - but there could be delays for those looking to get across the key route.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 2pm on Monday April 1, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the Mersey Gateway, Queensway in Runcorn involving a motorbike and a car (Ford Focus).

“Emergency services arrived at the scene and the motorbike rider has been taken to Aintree Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
“The bridge is not closed.”

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service also confirmed that they were called to the Mersey Gateway at 10 past 2.
