A MOTORBIKE rider has died in a single-vehicle crash on the state's Mid North Coast.
About 1.45pm Friday a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling on Thunderbolts Way at Bretti, north of Gloucester, when it left the road and travelled down an embankment.
It ended up in a paddock with the rider, a 66-year-old Queensland man, suffering internal and spinal injuries.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Gloucester Hospital. He died while being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
An investigation is now under way into the cause of the crash and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
