Two men were thrown from a motorbike and left lying in a busy road after a hit and run.
Merseyside Police rushed to Laird Street in Birkenhead at around 4pm on Tuesday, May 31, following reports of a serious crash. Once at the scene officers found two men, who were a driver and passenger on a motorbike, were hit by a blue Ford Fiesta.
The driver of the Fiesta did not stop at the scene and left the two men lying in the middle of the road. Police requested for a land and air ambulance to attend the scene as they closed Laird Street in both directions.
