Motorbike hit and run sees woman taken to hospital with serious injuries

Police are currently in attendance at a fail to stop road traffic collision at The Green, Seacroft, Leeds.

Officers were called to The Green shortly after 6pm this evening (December 11) to reports that a motorbike had been in collision with a pedestrian.

The motorcyclist failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian a 29-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Road closures are in place along The Green, Old York Road and Hansby Gate.

Detective Inspector Al Burns of Leeds District CID said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw a blue and white BMW motorbike prior to the collision to come forward.

"The rider of the motorcycle has been described as a white male, 5ft11 tall, stocky build and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit."
