
EMERGENCY services were called to a serious accident between a motorbike rider and a cyclist on Tuesday evening.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, police and NSW Ambulance crews were contacted at 5.45pm to reports of a crash on Wisemans Ferry Road at Somersby.
It is understood both riders collided, before the motorbike rider then hit a nearby pole.
Paramedics and the helicopter Critical Care Medical Team treated and stabilised the male cyclist, believed to be in his 20s, at the scene.
He suffered chest and limb injuries and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment. The motorbike rider suffered a minor head injury and was transported by ambulance to Gosford Hospital.
