- The Spanish rider, brother of seven-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, reassured fans from his hospital bed via Instagram, stating “Everything's under control” and thanking them for their concern.
- His crash was one of two serious incidents that led to the Catalan Grand Prix being red-flagged twice, with French rider Johann Zarco also snapping his fibula and damaging knee ligaments in a separate pile-up.
- Several riders, including 2024 MotoGP champion Jorge Martin, expressed concerns about the safety of the race, criticising the decision to have three restarts as “very dangerous”.
