Motherwell v Celtic teams confirmed as striker dropped and defensive change made

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander and Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou have named their XI's for the match at Fir Park this afternoon.

Alexander makes two changes to the side which lost 2-0 to Hearts prior to the international break as Sean Goss comes in for Mark O'Hara in midfield, while Kevin Van Veen is dropped for Jordan Roberts in attack.

Postecoglou meanwhile brings Boli Bolingoli back into his Celtic XI in place of Adam Montgomery at left-back.

This afternoon's hosts are fourth in the table and above Celtic in the Premiership. But an away win in ML1 would lift Celtic above Motherwell.

The Steelmen host Celtic in an unusual 3pm kick-off slot, with the game not being televised. It is set to be a busy afternoon in North Lanarkshire, with the attendance set to approach the just under 10,000 capacity.

Motherwell have lost nine of the last 10 meetings between the clubs and have conceded 13 goals to Celtic on the Hoops' last three visits to Fir Park.

MOTHERWELL: Kelly; O'Donnell, Ojala, Mugabi, McGinley; Goss, Slattery, Grimshaw; Woolery, Roberts, Watt.

Subs: Fox, Carroll, O'Hara, Van Veen, Amaluzor, Solholm, Donnelly.

CELTIC: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Bolingoli; McGregor, Turnbull; Jota, Rogic, Abada; Furuhashi.

Subs: Bain, Scales, Bitton, Giakoumakis, Ajeti, Johnston, Welsh.
