Motherwell v Celtic heading for sell-out with vaccine certification not required

Motherwell and Celtic supporters travelling to Saturday's Premiership meeting between the pair at Fir Park will not require vaccine certificates.

Under Scottish Government regulations, all Scottish clubs hosting games with more than 10,000 spectators in attendance are legally required to implement a spot-check system.

The rule will not be enforced until Monday, 18 October. This is to ensure supporters have proof of double vaccination or an exemption prior to entering stadiums and some clubs have started running tests.

Hibs v Dundee United will trial the spot-checking system at Easter Road this weekend.

There are 150 tickets available for the Motherwell support this weekend as of Tuesday morning, with the game. capacity capped at just under 10,000. Celtic have already sold out their 'reduced allocation' for the match on Saturday which kicks off at 3pm.

Graham Alexander's side head into the game fourth in the Premiership, two places and one point above Celtic.

The Hoops have won nine of the last 10 encounters between the two teams but have won just once away from home in league action since February.
