Motherwell striker joins Albion Rovers

Young Motherwell striker Corey O'Donnell has joined Albion Rovers in a loan deal until January.

The 17-year-old turned professional in the summer and has trained with the Motherwell first team for several months.

O'Donnell was on the bench for a few Premier Sports Cup group stage games, and played in pre-season matches.

Motherwell boss Graham Alexander told the club's website: “This is a great opportunity for Corey to learn about first-team football and continue the progress he’s made since training regularly with the senior squad here.

"I'm sure he’ll make a very good impression at Albion Rovers and we’ll continue to monitor him closely between now and January.”
