Motherwell’s Ross MacIver is close to agreeing a loan move to join Queens Park.
The League Two club are set to restart their league campaign on March 20 and want to bolster their ranks by adding MacIver.
Queen’s Park are strong favourites to win League Two under Ray McKinnon and the Hampden-based club have ambitious plans for the future.
Discussions between the clubs remain ongoing after an initial approach was made to Motherwell last week once lower league clubs had the green light to return to training.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and it’s unclear whether he will sign a new contract at the Fir Park side.
MacIver has been on the bench under Graham Alexander after returning from loan at Greenock Morton.
The Inverness-born striker scored his only goal for the Cappielow side against rivals St Mirren in the Betfred Cup before falling out of favour.

MacIver scored on his debut for the Steelmen in December 2019 after coming off the bench in a 2-1 win against his former side Ross County.
Should he complete the deal, he will face tough competition for a starting berth from Jai Quitongo, Simon Murray and Bob McHugh.
Yesterday, the Spiders completed the loan signing Salim Kouider-Aissa, who has returned to the club on a deal until the end of the season.
