Motherwell strengthen by adding another defender

Motherwell have signed Blackburn Rovers defender Tyler Magloire on loan until the end of this season.

The 22-year-old becomes the club's seventh signing of the January transfer window, though he comes in shortly after its closure.

He follows Eddie Nolan, Jordan Roberts, Sam Foley, Harry Smith, Steven Lawless and Liam Kelly, while Robbie Crawford, Charles Dunne and Stephen O'Donnell have extended their deals.

Bradford-born defender Magloire has spent loan spells at Rochdale and Hartlepool United before arriving at Fir Park.

Motherwell boss Graham Alexander told the club's website: "We needed competition for the right side of defence and Tyler will provide that.

“He ticks those boxes of what we are looking for. We’ve spoken to people at Blackburn Rovers, who rate him highly, and he’s got experience playing regularly this season in a winning team.

“We hope he can now make the step up in level for the rest of the season and make a contribution.”
