Motherwell star joins Partick Thistle as Jags boss claims 'top midfielder' transfer

Robbie Crawford has left Motherwell to join Partick Thistle on a six-month contract.

The midfielder has struggled for games this season under Graham Alexander after picking up an injury last year.

He now reunites with Ian McCall, who he worked with at Ayr United.

McCall said: “I’m very pleased to bring Robbie to the club because he’s a top midfielder.

"Over the past two and a half seasons he’s played a good number of games in the Premiership which shows the ability he’s got and having worked with him before.

"I know what he brings to a team.

“He’s got a great attitude and will always do his fair share of work so I think he’ll fit in nicely with the midfield unit we’ve got at the moment.”

Crawford initially joined Motherwell on loan from Livingston in 2020 before making his move permanent in January 2021.

In total, he played 29 times for the Fir Park side but hasn't played since the Premier Sports Cup group stage in July.
