Motherwell star duo will be hard to replace, but I'm sure we will, says Ricki Lamie

Motherwell are bracing themselves for the loss of Declan Gallagher and Allan Campbell this summer, but defender Ricki Lamie says they'll cope with it.

Gallagher has agreed a pre-contract with Aberdeen, while Campbell is leaving at the end of his deal.

Lamie admits both will be a hard act to follow, but is confident that gaffer Graham Alexander will bring in quality players to take their places.

Ahead of this afternoon's Premiership finale against Ross County at Fir Park, the former Livingston defender said: "They are two big figures in the squad and in the changing room, and the manager will be keen to try and replace their quality, which they've got in abundance.

"It will be an interesting one but I'm sure whoever comes in will be good and we have a good nucleus still at the club, full of good guys and good players.

"The gaffer will try and replicate that by bringing guys in who will fit the bill.

"They're two top players and two top guys as well in the changing room, so it will be a tough task, but I'm sure the gaffer has plenty of contacts and people in mind that he would like to bring in.

"It will be interesting to see, but it will be two that will be extra difficult to replace."
