Motherwell sign Rangers winger Jake Hastie on season-long loan deal as he makes Fir Park return

Jake Hastie has made his return to Motherwell after agreeing a season-long loan deal from Rangers.

The 21-year-old left the Steelmen in favour of a switch to Ibrox after a thrilling six-month spell for 'Well which led to a pre-contract deal with the Glasgow giants.

However, since the switch the forward has found first-team opportunities limited and spent time on loan at Rotherham in English League One.

Despite links with Hearts, Hastie has opted to pull on the claret and amber again under Stephen Robinson.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be back,” said Hastie to the Motherwell media team.

“I’ve been with Motherwell since I was nine years old.

"A year away has helped me grow even more as a player, but it’s also made me appreciate what the club does for me to help me develop.

“I’m fit and ready to go. I want to pick up where we left off just over a year ago and make an impact on the team scoring goals.”
