Motherwell secure Devante Cole return as striker pens deal

Devante Cole has returned to Motherwell on a permanent basis.

The 25-year-old has been reunited with Fir Park boss Stephen Robinson after a loan spell from Wigan last season and joins on a deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

Cole joins from Doncaster Rovers, where he made nine appearances since joining the English League One club in January.

After capturing Cole, Robinson told the Motherwell website: “Obviously we have worked with Devante before, so we know what are getting from him.

“He give us options all across the forward line and adds pace.

"He has proven he can score goals coming in from the wider positions and he will add real competition to the front line.”

Motherwell were due to travel to Kilmarnock this evening, but that clash has been called off due to a Covid-19 outbreak at Rugby Park.

Cole could make his debut when 'Well travel to St Mirren in their next scheduled match on October 17.
