Motherwell's trip to Kilmarnock OFF after entire Rugby Park squad told to self-isolate

Motherwell's trip to Kilmarnock tonight has been postponed after the entire Rugby Park squad were told to self-isolate for two weeks to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Six players at Rugby Park have returned positive tests in recent days and on medical advice, the entire playing and coaching staff have been told to quarantine for 14 days.

It is understood the game could have gone ahead if Killie had chosen to field a youth side, but teh Rugby Park outfit have requested a postponement.

The game with the Steelmen will be rearranged at a later date.

A statement from the Scottish FA Coronavirus Joint Response Group is expected later to confirm the postponement.

With the international break coming up next week, Motherwell will not return to action until October 17 when the travel to St Mirren.
