Tony Watt is expecting a frosty reception if fans return for the Lanarkshire derby between Motherwell and Airdrie.
The ‘Well star started his career at the Diamonds before moving to Celtic for a reported fee of £80,000 in 2011.
Watt spent time on trial and Rangers and Liverpool before deciding to join Neil Lennon’s side.
The 27 year-old scored two goals within five minutes of his Celtic debut against Motherwell as he made an immediate impact.
The Monklands man will return to Airdrie when Motherwell visit in the group stages of the Premier Sports Cup on Tuesday, July 20 and Watt is excited to return - even if he expects some banter from the stands.

“It’ll be a good game,” Watt admitted. “I haven’t played there in ten years so it’s an exciting game and it’s one that we will definitely look forward to, especially if the fans are back in.
“I’m probably not [expecting a warm reception]. I think that Airdrie has lots of links to different sides and when I moved to Celtic it was a bit frowned upon.”
