Motherwell's Devante Cole is enjoying goalscoring run of form under new manager Graham Alexander

Motherwell striker Devante Cole is enjoying a rich vein of goalscoring form under new manager Graham Alexander.

The 25 year-old has bagged four goals in five games since Alexander took over and Cole is dovetailing impressively with Tony Watt and Christopher Long.

The former Manchester City youngster opened the scoring with a clever flicked finish in the 2-1 over Dundee United and Cole admitted he enjoys scoring all type of goals.

He said: "Goals in general make you happy so no matter what type of goal it is, as a striker you're happy."

"As a striker, you try your best to score all sorts of goals and I probably should have had another one tonight. Any goals that come my way I'm happy to score in any way.

Since Alexander replaced Stephen Robinson, Cole has been deployed as a classic number nine and he has flourished in a more central role.

The former English youth international also provided an assist for Long's second against United and he's thriving under a manager that he played against in the early part of his career.

Cole said: "The new gaffer has come in and I'm happy to be playing under him and hopefully I can continue it.

"I think I played against him on a couple of occasions but never anything more than that."
