Motherwell provide injury update with 12 players missing

Motherwell have provided an injury update on their squad, with twelve players currently on the sidelines as they prepare to take on St Johnstone.

Graham Alexander's side have made four changes from their 4-1 Lanarkshire derby defeat last weekend, with Allan Campbell, Bevis Mugabi and Mark O'Hara out, while Stephen O'Donnell is suspended following his red card in the heavy defeat.

The club today issued an update for fans, with news that Campbell, O'Hara and Liam Grimshaw are out with non-Covid related illnesses.

Mugabi dislocated a shoulder in the derby crunch, and O'Donnell is suspended for today's game.

Long-term injuries were also included in the list, with captain Declan Gallagher suffering a hamstring injury, and Sherwin Seedorf and recent signing Steven Lawless struggling with knee injuries.

Knee injuries are the reason why goalkeeper Trevor Carson and stars Liam Donnelly and Charles Dunne are missing, but from that trio, only Donnelly has a hopeful return date of next month.

Goalkeeper Scott Fox, meanwhile, isn't expected back until May.
