Motherwell have been handed a trip to Premiership newcomers Dundee in the Premier Sports Cup second round.
The Steelmen will travel to Dens Park on the weekend of August 14/15.
Graham Alexander's side qualified from Group F courtesy of a 2-0 home win over Annan Athletic yesterday, while Airdrie lost 4-1 at Queen of the South.
Goals in each half from Justin Amaluzor and Barry Maguire saw Motherwell to a comfortable win over the League Two side.
