Keith Lasley joked that it feels like he's worked with 100 managers at Motherwell given how long he's been at Fir Park.
The 41-year-old signed a new deal to extend his 20-year association with the Steelmen after first arriving in 1999.
He is held in the highest regard by the Motherwell faithful and it's been a rollercoaster ride across two decades at the club.
Lasley is a valued member of Graham Alexander's staff and he admits he's always learning under different managers - and there's been a fair few.
"It might be into three figures, never mind double figures," Lasley joked. "The journey started in 1999, when I first stepped in this football club so it was a long time ago.
"There's been a lot of highs and lows along the way but on the whole, this football club has been fantastic to me and my family.
"It's played such a big part in my life and it continues to do so. It's something that I'll never take for granted and it's the opposite of that, I want to push every single day to push the club forward.
"It's a new experience for me, I'm learning all the time. My first job was to earn the trust of Stephen Robinson, professionally and as a colleague.

"I had to be trusted in terms of what I could bring to the job and that's no different with the staff change over.
"It's something that's been a learning experience but I've tried to show the new manager and everybody is that I'm still as motivated to push this club forward.
"Hopefully I've displayed that and I'm still hungry as a young coach. I want to keep growing and I'm delighted to continue to do that at this football club."
'Well boss Alexander brought Chris Lucketti with him when he took charge in January and Lasley detailed how his job is slightly different on a matchday.

The 41-year-old said: "Naturally, it ebbs and flows in terms of defining exactly what your role might bring.
"I'll be in the stands with the fans tomorrow as I've got a little bit more of a birds eye view on a Saturday.
"It's about seeing the game differently from up there and bringing that perspective to the dugout - that's a little different from before.
"Without going too far into it on a day-to-day basis, that's an example of my role has changed on a matchday.

‘Well boss Graham Alexander was effusive in praise for Lasley: “I’m really happy that Keith has extended his contract with us and hopefully it shows the value he brings to my coaching staff.
“He’s been a great source of knowledge with his experience of the Scottish game since we came in, and as time has gone by we’re developing a real relationship of how we work and bring out the best in each other.
“I know he also has a long-standing loyalty to our club, and the more people we have like that the better.”
