Motherwell are reportedly interested in bringing Blackburn Rovers defender Tyler Magloire back to Fir Park last season.
The 22-year-old had a successful loan spell at Fir Park last season, playing 12 times.
Though he hasn't played a senior game for Rovers since March 2019, Magloire is under contract until the end of next season.
A second loan could be a possibility, but the Lancashire Telegraph reports that since he turns 23 in December and is in the last year of his contract, Motherwell may try to make a permanent move.
While Rovers boss Tony Mowbray will assess Magloire in pre-season, it's reported that he's got high hopes for Daniel Ayala for next season, and the prospect of an addition in defence could clear the way for Magloire to move on.
Motherwell may be keen to bring back a few of the players they had on loan last season after clearing the decks this summer, and boss Graham Alexander was quote as saying: "We remain in positive discussions with a number of clubs in relation to one or two players we had on loan, with a view to doing something, but these things take time.
"The process of rebuilding the squad is well underway."
