Motherwell in Allan Campbell banner tribute as Luton Town scout spotted

Motherwell have paid tribute to departing midfielder Allan Campbell with a banner inside Fir Park.

Ahead of kick-off in the 2-1 defeat to Ross County, the Steelmen hung a banner emblazoned with the words "Allan Campbell One of Our Own" in what was set to be his final game for the club.

However, the 22-year-old, who came off early during the midweek draw with Dundee United through injury, didn't make the squad for the clash with the Staggies.

A product of the club's youth academy, Campbell's 13-year stint is now at an end.

It left Motherwell fans disappointed and it may have resulted in a wasted trip for Luton Town head of recruitment Mick Harford, who was spotted in the stands.

Luton have been linked with a move for the midfield star for much of the season, alongside Millwall and Blackpool.
